Supplier Quality Representative (SQR)

 

Location – UK (London Preference)

 

Qualcon seeks Supplier Quality Representatives for the location identified on an immediate basis.

 

Education:        Some College or Degree Preferred

Certification:     AWS CWI or Equivalent

 

Experience:       Minimum 10 years experience in a Quality Assurance/Quality Control role with minimum 2 years fabrication weld inspection experience.

 

Job Skills:        Structural Weld Inspection, computer literate Microsoft Office, Email, Web Based Data Entry

 

Job Function:

·         Inspect and approve the joint preparation, assembly practice, welding techniques, and performance of each welder, welding operator, and tack welder to make certain that the applicable requirements of the appropriate welding code is met.

·         Ensure final inspections are completed and structures meet specifications.

·         Ensure that structures are properly prepared for shipment, and are loaded onto trucks without damage.

·         Fill out and enter into the online database, the appropriate quality assurance documents.

·         Interface with supplier on status and issues to facilitate resolution

·         Provide updates on delivery, quality status to the appropriate quality assurance documents.

Duration:

Drill Team Quality Representatives (DTQR)

 

Location – Lagos, Nigeria

 

Education:        Degree Preferred (University, B.S. Engineering Degree)

Certification:     Lead Quality Auditor  (IRCA or equivalent)

 

Experience:       Minimum 10 years experience in a Quality Assurance role preferably with 2 years implementing, and maintaining a Quality Management System. A minimum of 5 years of experience must have included drilling and/or production equipment related quality role.

 

Job Skills:        Business writing, computer literate Microsoft Office, Email (Lotus Notes). Russian location requires some degree of Russian language skills

 

Job Function:

 

·         The DTQR works with quality representatives of goods and services contractors to ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Plan requirements are implemented during the provision of goods and services to Client.

 

·         The DTQR provides the QMS and quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) knowledge to facilitate the implementation of the quality requirements in the Client Drilling Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) Manual.  In ISO 9001 terminology, the DTQR functions as the management representative to ensure the processes required by the QMS are established, implemented, and sustained. 

 

·         The DTQR reports to Drill Team Management on QMS performance (i.e., Client and Contractor QMS), identifies areas for improvement, and promotes quality awareness throughout the team. 

 

·         The DTQR is involved in key activities to provide quality support ensuring all goods and services meet minimum specified technical and quality requirements and are "fit-for-service."  The DTQR involvement begins at the contracting / tendering phase and extends to receiving inspection and installation of goods, performance of services at the well, through maintenance inspections of inventoried materials following well completion. 

 

These positions may be accomplished through a 29 on / 29 off work rotation. In locations where full time DTQR’s cannot be positioned, the rotation method will be employed.

 

 

Expediters – Nationwide and International

 

Qualcon is soliciting résumés of experienced shop expediters to provide on-site expediting visits to supplier facilities. Prior experience expediting electrical and mechanical industrial/commercial equipment required. Products may include such equipment as fabricated piping, pressure vessels, electrical substations, transformers, military equipment and similar equipment.

Drilling Quality Consultant/Inspector

 

Location – Doha, Qatar

 

Qualcon is soliciting resumes for a Drilling Quality Consultant who has a wide experience and sound knowledge in Rig inspection and commissioning, vessels, etc.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

·         Marine Safety Survey.

·         Drilling Equipment Inspection (Drawworks, TDS, Derrick, Rotary Table, Traveling and crown block, drilling instrumentation, Tuggers /Sheaves, hoisting equipment, fishing equipment, drilling string, Survey line, Iron roughneck, Casing Stabbing Board, Hook, etc.).

·         Mud System inspection.

·         Well Control equipment inspection and quality survey (review history, repairs, re-certification, metal and elastomers suitability to Sour Service, etc.).

·         Power Plant inspection.

·         Electrical equipment, rig engines and installations inspection.

·         Safety Equipment inspection.

·         Maintenance system survey.

·         Supply and stimulation vessels inspection.

·         All other categories or equipment inspection and Quality surveys that conducted during Standard inspection and commissioning of Jack-up rigs.

·         Quality Management systems audits.

Area Expediter

 

Location – Minneapolis, MN

Qualcon is soliciting résumés of experienced shop expediters to provide site expediting visits to supplier facilities. Expediter would perform weekly visits (assume one day per week) through December 2007. Followed by b-weekly visits (assume two visits per month) through August 2008.

This equates to approximately 6 days per month through December 07, then dropping to 4 visits per month through August 08.

Prior experience expediting electrical and mechanical industrial/commercial equipment required.

Head of Corporate QA/QC

 

Location – Caspian Region

Provide Functional Guidance to QA/QC resources embedded with the international oil firm. Ensure consistently robust implementation of QA/QC oversight by contract holders for construction and other activities implemented by contractors.

 

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

The job holder is responsible for exercising Corporate Functional control over QA/QC resources throughout firms activities by:

·         Developing corporate QA/QC procedures for construction and other activities, obtaining corporate approval, and disseminating same.

·         Ensuring adequate resources are deployed to effectively oversee Quality issues at the sites by benchmarking staffing levels versus work load and by evaluating results.

·         Developing and disseminating standard templates for QA/QC sections in contracts.

·         Providing corporate checks of the status of QA/QC implementation. This will involve interface and coordination with the Asset Integrity Assurance Department.

·         Providing feedback to Project Management and other Senior Managers as to emerging QA/QC issues that need to be addressed early to prevent issues from becoming more severe.

Qualifications & Experience:

The job holder must have :

  • Leadership experience in QA/QC management.

Advantageous Qualifications/Experience

  • Russian language skills.
  • Project Management experience.

Required Competencies:

The job holder must have proven:

  • Strong QA/QC background with in-depth technical knowledge of potential issues for sour gas operations.
  • Ability to work in complex and multi-cultural situation.
